The RoMac 10 Band Graphic Equalizer coupled with your present computer's soundcard, affords you the finest Windows based digital equalizer made for the Amateur Radio community.

Users of Windows Vista or Windows 7, should look at the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer 2012, as it's built specifically for the latest operating systems, and will ensure compatibility for Windows 8.

Using professional techniques such as audio equalization will enhance the audio quality of your signal. The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer is like having a full featured audio studio in one package.

New Support for a Virtual Audio Cable enabling routing of audio to another soundcard application with out the need for a second sound card. Perfect for EchoLink, SpectraPlus, Sound Card Scope, etc.

You can elect just to use just the transmit equalizer, just the receive DSP filtering, or both. Utilizing  just the transmit equalizer or the receive filtering, require at most, an audio isolation transformer between your transceiver and the sound card. Most users with a newer transceivers with their own DSP filtering, will find the receive filtering redundant and not necessary.

Audio equalization, compression, downward expander, silent adjustable noise gate, effects processor, feedback destroyer all in one package and just a mouse click away.

The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer has ten separate equalizer bands, with a generous plus or minus 16 dB of range, to ensure that your audio always sounds it's best! Increase bass response, enhance the mid-ranges, enhance the high frequencies, it's all done with the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer, the only Windows based, DSP Equalizer made specifically for the Amateur Radio community.

Separate Bass and Treble Controls Separate Bass and Treble controls enable the user to set up basic bass and treble tone, and then fine tune the equalization with the 10 Band Equalization Controls. Its like having two equalizers in one package.

Variable High and Low Pass settings High Pass variable from 25 Hz to 300 Hz. This will help some low cost sound cards to work properly, and is handy to reduce the "bottom end" a bit, when necessary. Low pass setting variable from 2000 Hz to maximum allowed by sampling rate of sound card setting.

The integral Noise Gate is fully adjustable and basically inaudible.  Set the gate level and gate delay, and that background noise in your ham shack will disappear. Operating VOX with a Noise Gate is a pleasure. No more keying the transmitter by dropping a pencil, setting down a glass of water, or any of those other extraneous noises around your ham shack!

With the integral audio compressor you can raise the average power of your signal with almost no distortion! With separate compression level and compression ratio, you have total control over how the compressor sounds. This is a compressor that you actually will use

Downward Expander. The downward expander is used to increase the dynamic range of your transmit audio. Also helps to reduce background noises and makes your audio sound fuller!

Four separate audio level indicators insure your audio will always be clean.  The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer monitors audio levels at the input, during processing, and the output of your sound card. There are peak and average level meters. No more overdriving your radio and causing splatter! The Equalizer has a calibrated test tone to help set the audio levels for your transceiver. You will start getting those unsolicited reports, of  "great audio, OM" !

Effects processing. Adding small amounts of reverberation and/or a slight echo effect, really can add some "presence" to your transmitted audio. You can have anything from a very robust reverb to a reverb that is very subtle, yet adds some presence to your audio. The mix of audio effects, volume, and delay times are all individually controlled, enabling precise control of the audio effects. The reverb effect has the capability to individually control both a first reflection and a second reflection. Other equalizers on the market require an expensive add on unit, to rival the capabilities of the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer.

CW Identifier. Fully programmable automatic CW identifier is included. Three different options to insure that your station is properly identified at all times.

160 Hz notch aka "Feedback Destroyer". Up to 20 dB of attenuation at any frequency, with variable bandwidths of 10 Hz to 60 Hz in 10 Hz increments. There are two available notches, aka "Feedback Destroyer" available.

A notch at 160 Hz is very useful to reduce the "boominess" when enhancing the bass (bottom end)  when utilizing audio bandwidths that are typically used is SSB transmissions.

Record and playback audio from your microphone or receiver audio. Great for setting up the equalizer to get that audio just right. Record the audio before or after any processing done by the software. Record off the air so a friend can hear how he sounds.

Support for running a Rig Control program on the same serial port as the Equalizer, with a suitable interface such as the West Mountain RigBlaster Pro. Compatible with virtually any Rig Control program such as Ham Radio Deluxe, DX Labs Commander, N1MM Logger or any other Rig Control program. Kenwood owners should read this article...

NEW Support for the new USB audio enabled Icom 7200 and 7600 radios. Click here...

NEW Support for CAT (computer commands) for many of today's popular radios. Click here...

NEW Support for having an external CAT program such as Ham Radio Deluxe control the TX / RX of the Equalizer software.

Support for running a SSTV software such as EasyPal or MMSTV, sharing a serial port and sound card. Please note that some sound cards, different operating systems and hardware configurations will not work correctly, or may have limitations on either the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer, or SSTV software. The Turtle Beach Santa Cruz card works well with  Windows XP. The M-Audio Delta 44 card works with some limitations with Windows XP, and no limitations with Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Have your favorite settings for rag chewing, with different settings for busting that DX pileup?  Only the RoMac 10 band Equalizer has the ability to save those different settings, and with a click of your mouse, recall them instantly. With those other equalizers costing hundreds of dollars, you will be fumbling around, adjusting the equalization controls and level controls.

The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer has support for M-Audio Delta 44 card, which has become very popular in the amateur community. Other cards that require separate audio streams for the Microphone input and Line input should also work. Windows XP. Windows Vista & Windows 7presents the Microphone input and Line Input as separate recording devices for all sound cards.

Compatible with newer low output microphones. Some new low output microphones that have an output of less than -55 dbm now should be be able to drive the sound card with ease.

With the proper interface to your radio, the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer has features to enhance your receivers performance, or you can elect to use just the transmit EQ too./p>

Receive filtering options includes fully adjustable random noise reduction, adjustable noise blanking and automatic notch filter for receiving. Choose one of the 10 built in brick wall audio filters, from a razor sharp 50 Hz filter to the wide open 12 KHz filter. Custom design up to 8 of your own filters. You may also elect to disable all receive filtering functions for receivers that don't need any additional filtering.

Random Noise Reduction. Wide range of adjustments to the noise reduction system. Need just a little bit to kill some hiss, or need a lot for those thunderstorms, the improved noise reduction does it all!

Smoother and adjustable AGC for receive audio. Choose from 3 attack times and 3 hang times. Your receive audio will be much more pleasant to listen to, especially for receivers with less than desirable AGC characteristics.

Built switching logic for most commercially made rig interfaces. Enjoy the full capability of DSP transmit and receive, with any interface that utilizes RTS/CTS handshaking. Almost all of today's interface units support this handshaking mode.

Each of the 10 equalization controls pass bands are programmable.  Want one of the Equalizer controls only to control 350 Hz to 450 Hz? No problem! With a few simple mouse clicks, you set the equalizer pass bands, to what you desire. You can't do that with the competitions products costing hundreds of dollars.

The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer remembers all your Windows sound card settings and restores them upon  quitting the equalizer! No more resetting sound card levels with the confusing Windows mixer controls, every time you use the equalizer.  The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer has built in controls for setting the relevant Windows level controls. No more dealing with those confusing Windows mixer controls every time you use the equalizer.

Selection of sound card(s) for both input and output, independent of the operating systems preferred sound devices. You can choose to use any sound device for  the microphone, line in , and output . You could actually use one sound card for microphone input, a separate sound card for line in input, and a separate sound card for output.  Some higher end cards require this capability such as the M-Audio Delta 44.

Selection of sound card sampling rates to enhance the compatibility of  a wider range of sound cards, and a smoother audio stream.

Complete help files are included, making set up and understanding the software a snap. You'll be up and running in no time at all! You may down load just the help file in order to see all the features of the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer on the down load page.

Why spend hundreds of dollars or even thousands of dollars, when the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer with your present computer and sound card will afford you great audio processing at fraction of the cost!

The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer is fully compatible with your present sound card interface, such as the Rig Blaster by West Mountain Radio, or build your own inexpensively . See FAQ for setup hints for the RigBlaster Pro. The RoMac 10 Band Equalizer can also key your transmitter via a serial port on your computer, either with the space bar acting as a PTT switch, or using the built in noise gate, acting like a VOX circuit! No other equalizer has these features. A sample interface schematic is included that is easy to build.

End those days of mushy, hard to understand audio. With the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer, your audio will stand out on the bands, at a fraction of the cost of other equalizers, that don't have all the features of the RoMac 10 Band Equalizer!
